Need a hand?

Questions, bugs and ideas all go to the same inbox.

Get in touch

Email matthewslepko+meadowhive@gmail.com. For a bug, say which iPhone and iOS version you have and what happened just before, and add a screenshot if you can.

From inside the game: Settings → Feedback opens a message with a few questions and your game info (how far your hive has got, your iOS version), ready to send by email or any app you like.

Common questions

I bought the full journey, but Chapter 2 is locked

Open Settings in the game (the gear on the hive) and tap Restore purchase. Use the same Apple Account you bought it with. The game also checks quietly each time it starts.

Will I lose my hive if I delete the app?

Yes. There's no account or cloud save: your hive lives only on your iPhone, so deleting the app deletes it. It does come along in an iPhone backup, and when you move to a new iPhone with a backup or Apple's transfer. The full journey is never lost: Restore purchase brings it back on any iPhone signed in to your Apple Account.

My colony swarmed. What now?

Your bees are hanging in the big tree in the meadow. You have 24 hours to play Swarm Catch: net them, net the Queen, and everyone follows her home.

My colony was lost. Can I get it back?

No, a lost colony is gone for good, which is what makes keeping one alive count. Start a new hive from the same screen: your badges, the bee facts you've learned and the full journey all stay with you.

I'm not getting hive alerts

In the game, check Settings → Hive alerts. Then on your iPhone, check Settings → Notifications → Meadow Hive, and any Focus that might be on. Quiet hours (on by default, 9 pm to 8 am) hold the gentler alerts until morning; the last warnings before a colony is lost still come.

An ad didn't play

Ads need an internet connection, and sometimes there's simply no ad to show. When that happens Hazel helps anyway, so you never miss out on the second chance.

Day and night look wrong

The meadow follows your iPhone's clock: the bees head in at 8 pm and wake at 5 am. If it's off, check the time zone in your iPhone's settings.

There's no sound

The game follows your iPhone's silent switch. Sound effects and music can also be turned off and on in Settings → Sound.

How do I get a refund?

Apple handles every purchase, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

How do I delete my data?

Delete the app. Everything Meadow Hive keeps is on your iPhone, and it goes with the app. The privacy policy has the details, including what Apple and Google handle.
